Władysław Ławrynowicz

Wladyslaw Lawrynowicz (born February 22, 1944) is a Polish painter. He has been making easel paintings since 1976. He is a voluntary causes activist, a teacher, an organizer of cultural events, the winner of numerous prizes and diplomas and the president of The Creative Association of Polish Painters in Lithuania (ELIPSA), which was founded in 1993. He lives and works in Vilnius. He daringly uses allegory via which he influences the viewer. And the music of old masters helps him in it. Original technique and style makes the works of Wladyslaw Lawrynowicz unique. His themes are varied- from sacred, through Egyptian to realistic symbolism. Numerous of his paintings can be found in churches and private collections in Lithuania, Poland and Belarus. The artist actively participates in exhibitions and open air meetings in these countries. His works are included within private collections in Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Greece, United States, etc. (about 60 countries around the world).
==Style and technique==
The mysterious world of Wladyslaw Lawrynowicz's paintings fascinates with its complexity and variety of motifs, its colours and multitude of symbols, secret signs and intricately intertwining details. Even his most austere works, due to their bright, almost optimistic colour emanate warmth.
In his mystic works, full of understatements and allegories, the author seeks answers to those eternal questions of mankind- questions about the sense of our existence and our place in the universe. The unique technique and character of his paintings make them unrepeatable. His themes vary, comprising the sacred, the historical, the mystic, the humoristic and the symbolic. He does not shun portrait or even stained-glass windows. It is often the music that helps the artist in his creation. Hence, the cycles of musical paintings.
